🌀Last Day of the season:
The hurricane season wraps up today. Check out how many storms developed compared to the forecast and some of the most impactful hurricanes of the season.
⛅Warmer this afternoon:
We are starting Sunday warmer than recent mornings. Also, plan on grabbing the shades as you are heading to church or driving home from the holiday weekend.
Clouds will increase throughout the day. High temperatures will reach the mid-70s this afternoon.
⛈️Meaningful rain arrives:
The first widespread rainfall we have seen in quite some time will arrive late on Monday evening. Most of Monday will be dry and cloudy. Highs will reach the upper 60s to low 70s thanks to a warm front lifting into the area. It will turn humid throughout the day.
GFX – Planner
Late afternoon, isolated showers develop across the Big Bend and South Georgia.
GFX – FUT 1
The persistent, moderate to heavy rain will start around midnight for the Northwest Big Bend and South Georgia. Based on the current path of the storm center, the heaviest of the rain will likely fall JUST to our northwest through the overnight.
GFX – FUT 2
By Tuesday morning, a line of showers and storms will arrive. This line could bring some gusty winds and an isolated tornado, given the surrounding weather conditions and the warm front lingering around the area.
GFX – FUT 3
The line of storms will move through the Big Bend and South Georgia between 5 a.m. and noon. I will be able to fine-tune the timetable by tomorrow. The rain chance is at 70%. Outside of storms, it will be mild, humid and breezy.
