PORT ST. LUCIE − A motorcycle rider was hospitalized with “severe injuries” following an Oct. 15 crash in the area of Northwest St. James Drive and Northwest North Macedo Boulevard, Port St. Lucie Police stated.
Police went to the scene about 4:25 p.m. Oct. 15 for a crash involving a motorcycle and a Toyota Corolla, said Officer Brittany Holly, police spokesperson.
A preliminary investigation found the Toyota was eastbound on Northwest North Macedo Boulevard trying to turn north onto Northwest St. James Drive, Holly stated.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle traveled south on Northwest St. James Drive in the inside lane.

“The vehicle pulled out in front of the motorcycle and they collided in the intersection,” Holly stated.
The motorcycle rider, a 22-year-old Port St. Lucie man, was taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce with “severe injuries,” Holly said.
The intersection was closed after the crash, though has re-opened.
No other information was available.
