ORLANDO, Fla. — Defender Robin Jansson has signed a new contract with Orlando City SC that will keep him with the club through the 2027 season, team officials announced Monday.

The support I have received from the fans means everything, and I’ll keep giving it my all every time I step on the pitch. Here’s to more moments, more growth and more victories together.”
Jansson, 33, has made 232 starts in 238 appearances with the Lions across all competitions, recording seven goals and five assists. He is the club’s all-time leader in appearances and minutes played, reaching 20,923 minutes.

He joined the Lions in 2019 from AIK of Sweden, which is in that country’s top division. Jansson has been Orlando City’s team captain since 2024 and has been part of the team as it won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, made two appearances in the CONCACAF Champions Cup and advanced to six consecutive MLS Cup Playoff berths.
