ORLANDO, Fla. – The Cheez-It Bowl, Pop Tart Bowl and the Florida Classic could have a new home in 2026, if approved by UCF officials this week.
According to Thursday’s UCF Board of Trustees meeting agenda, the request comes as Camping World Stadium is set to undergo construction and renovation during the 2026 event season.
Traditionally held downtown, the games have been cornerstones of Orlando’s sports calendar for decades, drawing thousands and generating significant visibility, tourism and economic impact for Central Florida.

In November, the Orlando City Council gave final approval to the $400 million renovation project for Camping World Stadium, signaling a significant investment in the venue ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ temporary relocation to the city.
Organizers said UCF’s modern facility, central location and operational readiness make Acrisure Bounce House Stadium a suitable alternative, ensuring the events remain in Orlando while maintaining their scale, fan experience and community impact.
The move is projected to generate revenue for the UCF Stadium Corporation and UCF Athletics Association Inc. through facility use fees, concessions and parking.
“Stadium operations for the event will be directed by UCF Athletics and Florida Citrus Sports and will be conducted similarly to a UCF home football game,” the meeting’s agenda read in part.
Construction for Camping World Stadium is scheduled to begin in late 2025, pending final city approvals, with a target completion date set for summer 2027. The timing aligns with the Jaguars’ first season in Orlando, as the team will temporarily relocate due to renovations at their own stadium.
UCF officials will vote on the agenda item on Thursday.
