Port St. Lucie officer shot near Town Park Community, law enforcement confirms

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) is on the scene after one of its officers was shot on Monday night.

According to a spokesperson with PSLPD, the shooting occurred near Town Park Community in Tradition.

The officer was taken to the HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, PSLPD says.

At this time, it’s unclear what condition the officer is in, the identity of the suspect, or what led to the shooting, police say.
