PHILADEPHIA – A fugitive wanted on a DUI manslaughter charge stemming from a crash in Jacksonville Beach was caught in Philadelphia on Monday.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department issued an arrest warrant on Oct. 21 for Robin McAlarney, a former Columbia County, Georgia, resident, after a crash on May 17 near Third Street South and St. Augustine Boulevard.
According to the U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia, McAlarney was under the influence when he was riding on a motorcycle with a 22-year-old woman, identified as Tara Shaw.
Officials said McAlarney was driving 90 mph and crashed, killing Shaw.
