Police officer shot while responding to disturbance in Port St. Lucie – NBC 6 South Florida

A police officer was shot Monday while responding to a disturbance in Port St. Lucie, officials said.

Officers with the Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to the 11000 block of Southwest Lake Park Drive, where the officer was shot during the investigation.

The officer was taken to the hospital. Officials did not disclose their condition.

There were no details on the shooter or what led up to the shooting.
