ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 31-year-old man man faces homicide charges after police say he fatally shot another man inside a woman’s apartment on Thanksgiving Day.
According to an arrest affidavit filed in Orange County, Jon Fuller is accused of shooting a man in the face during a confrontation at an apartment on Summit Centre Way in Maitland.
Maitland Police Department said they responded to the residence around 12:12 p.m. and found the victim dead in a back bedroom “with an obvious gunshot wound to the face” with a spent shell casing was located nearby.
A witness, described as Fuller’s girlfriend, told investigators she had been in a relationship with the suspect for about a year and a half and is nine months pregnant with his child. She said Fuller had accused her of cheating and showed up at her apartment despite being told not to visit.
The woman said Fuller entered the apartment while she was braiding the victim’s hair. The victim reportedly offered to leave, but Fuller pulled out a firearm and shot him without warning.
Police said Fuller then left the apartment, spoke briefly with the woman outside, and then drove away, saying he was “going to drive back home.”
The affidavit does not state when or where Fuller was arrested.
Officials said Fuller faces a charge of second-degree murder.
