A 41-year-old Jacksonville woman died and two others were injured in a Nov. 30 crash on U.S. 301 in Alachua County, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP report
According to the FHP report, the Jacksonville woman was traveling south on U.S. 301 in a sedan while a pickup truck was being driven north by a 58-year-old Hortense, Georgia, woman on the same road.

FHP reported that the Jacksonville woman failed to negotiate a curve and traveled through the median and into the path of the pickup truck, causing a head-on collision.
The Jacksonville woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries and an 82-year-old passenger in the pickup, also of Hortense, suffered critical injuries.
