Miami, we made it through a tough summer, and I think we all felt the weight of the numerous restaurant closures, especially those that had been part of our lives for decades. But something shifted this fall in the loveliest way. November arrived with a sense of renewal, and suddenly the city felt alive again. Everywhere I looked, a new restaurant was opening its doors and welcoming us in with warmth, creativity, and that special Miami spark. From Yamashiro bringing a century of Hollywood history downtown, to Rò Steakhouse adding a touch of Mexico City elegance to Coral Gables, to Mae’s Room quietly becoming Coconut Grove’s new favorite hideaway, it felt like the city was taking a deep, joyful breath.
And the momentum didn’t stop. Coconut Grove dazzled with Ava MediterrAegean, a truly stunning addition, while Chuggie’s added comfort, nostalgia, and the happiest fritas in town. The Miami River got a beautiful new waterfront escape with Bagatelle, reminding us how magical dining by the water can be. From the Grove to Little Havana, November reminded us why Miami’s dining scene is so special (and why we love cheering on the people who make it all happen).
