Jon Christopher Fuller, 31, has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting his girlfriend’s co-worker at her apartment in Maitland on Thanksgiving Day, according to the Maitland Police Department.MPD reported that Fuller shot 28-year-old Cameron Hoilette at the Summit Centre Way apartment around 12:15 p.m.Officers arrived at the scene and found Hoilette lying on the bedroom floor. According to reports, officers gave CPR until Maitland Fire Rescue arrived and took over. The victim was pronounced dead approximately 15 minutes later.Fuller’s girlfriend, Nila Lindsey, told detectives she was redoing her co-worker’s hair when Fuller arrived at her door. An argument ensued, and according to the police report, “The victim stated, if there was a problem, he would just leave, and that he only came to get his hair braided. Without warning, the defendant pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the face.”Investigators said Fuller then got into his car and asked Lindsey to leave with him. “She told him no, and he replied he was going to drive back home,” the report said. Fuller was detained by the Orange County fugitive unit on West Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park later that day.The arrest report detailed that Fuller and Lindsey had been in a relationship for nearly a year and a half. Lindsey moved from West Palm Beach about two months ago, and Fuller had mentioned finding a job nearby. However, Lindsey told detectives, “Due to the long-distance relationship, they began having issues, and the defendant started accusing her of cheating.” Lindsey said Fuller called her the day before the incident, stating he missed her and wanted to visit on Thanksgiving. “She informed him not to come over, due to her being busy and having plans,” the report said. But Fuller came anyway.According to court documents, Jon Christopher Fuller pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. Fuller is currently held in the Orange County Jail without bond.
