A worker at a North Miami charter school was arrested after he allegedly had inappropriate contact with a student, authorities said.
Adolfo Eusebio Cotarelo, 61, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of child abuse with no great bodily harm, records showed.
According to an arrest report, the alleged incident happened at Mater Academy Biscayne North Miami, where Cotarelo works as a maintenance manager/security.

On Oct. 10, Cotarelo allegedly approached a 15-year-old student in the cafeteria and “spoke to the victim about sexual activities with a boy crush,” the report said.
He also told her she could go to the third floor of the school if she wanted to “do anything” with him since there are no security cameras there, the report said.
Cotarelo asked the girl how she would “please herself” while thinking about him and showed her a photo of him shirtless in a bed with a woman who was only wearing a bra, the report said.
He also told the teen how he could imagine her in the shower washing her hair, the report said.
When she tried to change the subject, Cotarelo changed it back to an “inappropriate topic,” according to the report.
Cotarelo spoke with investigators and confirmed several details of the girl’s accusations but denied showing her the photo and said he never mentioned sexual activities, but his statements would change constantly throughout the interview, the report said.
In addition, surveillance video confirmed some details of what the victim said occurred and showed Cotarelo appearing to show her an image on his phone, the report said.
The teen said the incident made her physically ill and said she has struggled to return to school “in fear of further incidents with the defendant.”
Cotarelo, of Hialeah, was booked into jail, and was expected to go before a judge on Thursday.
