Vinnie’s Pies has been selling out at St. Petersburg markets for over a month now. This New York-style slice pop-up keeps running out of pies at Mezzo Market and St. Pete Sunday Market.

Vinnie and Ursula run the show. They dish out hand-tossed pies at different spots around town. Before moving here, the pair owned an award-winning restaurant in Fort Smith, Arkansas, — starting from a backyard pop-up that grew into something bigger.

The pizza comes straight from Vinnie’s Jersey upbringing. Weekends meant family, food, and lots of pizza. Now they’re in St. Pete, eyeing a permanent spot down the road.

They’ve teamed up with other vendors around town. A few weeks back, they ran a birria pizza with Birria Bros. This week, they’re doing lunch at Golden Isles Brewing Co.

Golden Isles Brewing Co. sits at 3000 MLK Jr. St. N and has become a magnet for pop-up operations. Franca’s Pizza sets up every Friday. Liberty Smokehouse? It’s their only St. Pete spot. Tower 10 Burger flips smashburgers every Sunday and just started Tower 10 Tacos.

St. Pete’s pizza pop-up scene has exploded over the past few years. Cipolla Rossa and Franca’s Pizza both climbed to local stardom through the markets.
