JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The search for a missing man in Jacksonville ended with him being found dead on Tuesday, police said.
In a news release, Commander of Investigations Kyle Chumley said that on Monday, Nathan J. Eisfelder was reported missing by members of his family. The Patrol and Investigative Divisions began investigating his whereabouts.

The following day, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Eisfelder was located and pronounced dead by the Morgan County Coroner. An autopsy has been scheduled.
Chumley added that there is no threat to public safety at this time.
