OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A deadly crash has shut down a portion of Florida’s Turnpike in Osceola County.
The crash happened early Wednesday near mile marker 248 in Kissimmee.
All southbound lanes of the Turnpike are closed, while the scene is cleared. The left lane on the northbound side of the roadway is also blocked.
One person was killed in the crash, according to officials.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
It’s unclear what caused the crash.
