Good morning, Central Florida. Here’s what you need to know today.

Your Weather Planner

A cold front continues to push south through the state this evening. Cooler and drier air will follow behind the front and that will drop temperatures for tomorrow. Overnight, partly cloudy skies with lows dropping into 50s and low 60s. Winds will begin to ease later this evening as the disturbance departs.

High pressure will build back and Wednesday will be a nice day for any outdoor activities across central Florida. Highs will top out below average in the upper 60s and low to middle 70s, under partly cloudy skies. Drier air will make the air feel comfortable outside with rain-free conditions. Dry weather expected to stick around through the rest of the week with a slight warm up.

Quote of the Day

A shooting last weekend at a children’s birthday party in California that left four dead was the 17th mass killing this year — the lowest number recorded since 2006, according to a database maintained by The Associated Press and USA Today in partnership with Northeastern University.

Experts warn that the drop doesn’t necessarily mean safer days are here to stay and that it could simply represent a return to average levels.
