Organized by the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast (MIATC) and slated to set float December 6 at 6 p.m., the Martin County Christmas Boat Parade begins at the inlet near Sandsprit Park and loops counterclockwise through Manatee Pocket. The parade then heads up the St. Lucie River and ends at the downtown Stuart docks for a grand finale. “We are hoping to have 50 boats this year,” says Lauren DeLuca, chair of this year’s event. “It is exciting to bring the holiday spirit to the community. Everybody enjoys seeing the boats lit up and kicking off the holiday season.”

In addition to the Martin County Christmas Boat Parade, MIATC sponsors the St. Lucie County Christmas Boat Parade December 13 at 6 p.m. An expected 50 boats will line up for the parade route, which runs from the South Causeway Bridge in Fort Pierce to the Fort Pierce Inlet, looping back at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar and then westbound to the Fort Pierce Turning Basin. Event Chair Don Spaeth says residents who can’t make it out to see the parade can watch it live streamed on treasurecoast.com.
