After a decade of serving Tampeños, Miguelitos Taqueria & Tequila recently locked its doors. In late November, patrons were met with a sign on the door from owners Patricia and Miguel Rodriguez explaining the closure.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share that Miguelitos has closed its doors. After 10 years of serving the community, the current economic conditions have made it impossible to continue operating here,” wrote the owners.
Miguelitos was located at 2702 W. Kennedy Blvd. Miguel’s Mexican Seafood & Grill, Rodriguez’s other restaurant, remains open just three blocks away at 3035 W. Kennedy Blvd. The owners stated that Agave Club Rewards and Miguelitos gift cards will be honored at Miguel’s.
Miguelitos was known for its ice-cold tequila on tap, street-style tacos, agave drinks and spirit selection.
