For the Orlando music scene, the birthday of Will’s Pub owner and impresario Will Walker is itself reason enough to raise a glass or six.
But because it’s Will, live music must necessarily be involved. This year, there will be a special blowout marathon of notable Florida bands covering favorite cult acts marking the occasion. Featured tributes will include Jimmy Eat World (by You Vandal), Paramore (by GILT), Fountains of Wayne (by Virginity), The Aquabats (by Milton Fishman Superstud), Fall Out Boy (by Sixteen Candles), Bad Religion (by Wolf-Face), Alkaline Trio (by Dial Drive), Operation Ivy (by The Longest Hall), G.G. Allin (by G.G. Ellen/M.A.C.E.) and Glassjaw (by The New Aesthetics).
Come get loud for, and with, the truest of Orlando legends. Viva Will Walker!
4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, Will’s Pub, $15-$25.Â
