A Sanibel-based wildlife rescue will benefit from a coyote’s intrepid — and highly covered — visit to a Fort Myers hotel’s parking garage.

The Luminary Hotel & Co. is celebrating the wily visitor’s safe exit from a ledge on its multi-story parking structure with the debut of “The Curious Coyote” cocktail with $1 from every drink to benefit CROW, the island’s renowned Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife.

“At Luminary Hotel & Co., we’re part of the fabric of downtown,” said Joe Shurmur, general manager. “The coyote’s safe exit from the garage was a good outcome, and it reminded everyone that Florida’s wildlife shows up in unexpected ways. Turning that moment into support for CROW felt like the right thing to do.”

The hotel will offer the limited-edition cocktail through Dec. 31 at select outlets including Beacon Social Drinkery, The Silver King Coastal Kitchen, Chips Sports Pub & Topgolf Swing Suite, and the Lobby Bar.

The $14 cocktail blends blanco tequila, fresh lime, agave, and grapefruit soda.

The $1 donation is intended to bolster CROW’s rescue and rehabilitation programs for native wildlife throughout Southwest Florida, officials said.

Luminary Hotel & Co. is at 2200 Edwards Drive, Fort Myers.
