Planning is so overrated, or at least you might think so after seeing “Off Book: The Improvised Musical.”
Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino will take the stage armed with their wits and little else and will create an entirely improvised musical right before your very eyes and ears. The duo regularly works with big name comedy folk including Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg and Amy Poehler.
Reino and McKenna have written songs and musical sketches for “Rick and Morty,” “Bumper in Berlin,” “Baking It,” “Party Over Here,” FunnyOrDie, and Nickelodeon. They created and starred in “Serious Music,” a digital series for ABC, and their weekly improvised musical podcast “Off Book” has been praised by various online publications including Indie Wire, USA Today, Parade, AV Club and Splitsider.
No one knows what will happen exactly, but it is almost guaranteed to be memorable.
