The Lee County Community Band is inviting the public to its “Celebrating Holidays Around the World” concert on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mariner High School in Cape Coral. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

Under the direction of Gil Peltola, the band will perform classic carols, global holiday favorites, and a fun audience sing-along.

This ensemble of over 60 volunteer musicians continues a tradition dating back more than 130 years to the Fort Myers Brass Band, making it one of the oldest continuously operating community bands in the United States.

The concert takes place at Mariner High School, 701 Chiquita Boulevard, Cape Coral, with ample parking available off Tropicana Parkway West.

Concerts are scheduled for December 7, 2025, January 11, 2026, February 15, 2026, March 15, 2026, and April 12, 2026, all beginning at 3 p.m.

The Lee County Community Band, incorporated as a nonprofit in 1982, is committed to providing quality musical entertainment free of charge.

The band’s members include amateurs, semi-professional, and professional musicians who volunteer their time and talent to share their love of music with concert attendees.
