The Owls received their sixth at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will make their ninth appearance, all under head coach Genny Volpe.
Rice went on a 17-game winning streak, the longest in program history, before falling to Tulsa in the American Championship.
In the rankings, the Owls are No. 21 in RPI and are receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll.
This is just the fourth different regional location for the Owls, the first being Austin, then Waco and College Station.
