Treasure Coast Theatre will hold auditions for the Tony award winning musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” on Saturday, December 13th at 4pm and Sunday, December 14 at 7pm.
Performance for the play are on Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm March 13-29, 2026
Heidi Condon is looking to cast four (4) female actors/singers and 4 male actors/singers, along with one male actor in a non-singing role, for this Tony award winning musical comedy.
The musical features six adults portraying preteens competing in a spelling bee, four of whom will also be playing adult family members of the kids. Two male actors and one female actor will be playing school staff.
While disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, It’s a funny and touching ride, complete with audience participation.
You will be required to fill out an audition form upon arrival. A resume and headshot are optional but would be appreciated.
Please come prepared with a song that fits the style of the show/character for which you would like to be considered. You may be asked to sing a song from the show for a specific character.
