Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is back — and this year, it’s bigger and brighter than ever. Each weekend feels like a Christmas dream come to life, with live orchestral performances, surprise visits from festive characters, and dazzling projection mapping illuminating the front of the iconic Betsy Hotel. And, the best part, admission is free.
But, if your calendar is already full those weekends, there are plenty of other evenings dedicated to festivities and classical music, hosted in some of Miami’s most iconic venues.

Hosted in front of the beautiful Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive, and running across two December weekends — the 13th–14th and 20th–21st — the festival offers the perfect (and free) slice of Miami Christmas magic.
The festival truly has something for everyone. Music lovers can enjoy a full symphony orchestra presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF), giving local talent the chance to shine. Those drawn by the lights will be treated to stunning projection mapping that transforms the façades of Ocean Drive’s most iconic buildings. Little ones can look forward to visits from Elsa, the Grinch, and Santa himself, while festive food and drinks add to the holiday cheer. And of course, no visit would be complete without admiring Ocean Drive’s dazzling 20-foot Christmas tree.
Kicking everything off on the 13th is something even more special: the Christmas Extravaganza, where the festival links up with the City of Miami Beach for a one-night-only program that pairs the Festival of Lights with a spectacular drone show over Lummus Park.
