A 14-year-old girl was flown to a hospital in St. Petersburg after being hit by a car in front of Lemon Bay High School on Thursday morning, suffering multiple broken bones. According to the Englewood Fire Department, crews responded after a person was hit by a car shortly after 7 a.m. at Lemon Bay High School on Placida Road in Englewood.Englewood fire said the crash involved two students, one driving a car and one riding a bicycle.The girl who was hit had to be lifted out from underneath the car.The girl’s family said that she is at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg with five bones in her hand and her wrist broken. According to the Englewood Fire Department, crews responded after a person was hit by a car shortly after 7 a.m. at Lemon Bay High School on Placida Road in Englewood.
