Troopers said that the pickup truck’s front then crashed into the rear of a boat being towed by the semi-truck in the inside lane, which caused the boat to break free from the semi-truck.
The front of the semi-truck in the center lane, driven by a 37-year-old man, then collided with the boat, per FHP. “The boat came to rest in the median with its rear blocking the inside lane,” FHP wrote in the press release.
The pickup truck was driven by a 60-year-old man with three passengers and they all had minor injuries, according to FHP. Troopers said the 70-year-old man driving the semi-truck with the boat had no injuries and did not release details of the injuries sustained by the second semi-truck driver.
Troopers wrote that the Leon County Sheriff’s, EMS and Fire Rescue were also on scene.
