TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – On and off steady rain this afternoon that will continue overnight into Sunday morning.
A stationary front parked from South Carolina back to Texas is keeping clouds and rounds of showers over the region, so plan on needing an umbrella and extra travel time through the evening.
Showers will come in rounds rather than as a single, constant downpour. This afternoon and early evening will bring periods of light but persistent rain with occasional heavier downpours.
Overnight into Sunday morning, showers will continue. Most areas should see showers taper by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will stay cool, generally in the upper 50s, and no severe thunderstorm threat is expected.
Rain totals between 1 and 2 inches of rain through Sunday.
Looking ahead: the boundary should move away early next week, allowing conditions to gradually dry and temperatures to slowly warm by the end of next week.
