A Cape Coral couple is lighting up the Christmas spirit, one bulb and one donation at a time. For over a decade, they have transformed their home into a holiday haven to support the Cape Coral Caring Center.
The enchanting display features hundreds of lights, inflatables, and even Santa Claus himself, who has been decking out the house for 15 years.
Every dollar and can of food collected from visitors goes directly to the Cape Coral Caring Center. Santa Claus shared that he and Mrs. Claus have donated thousands of dollars and pounds of food over the past decade without taking a penny for themselves. This year, they have already raised more than $100 and hope to see that number grow before Santa’s return to the North Pole.
“I actually had one person last night actually tell me that I was the best Santa they have ever seen,” said Santa Claus.
He added that knowing he is doing the right thing by spreading joy and putting smiles on people’s faces is what truly matters to him.
Santa plans to continue this annual tradition as long as he is able, driven by the cause and the joy it brings to children. The display is open to the public from Friday to Sunday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., for those wanting to experience the magic firsthand.
