The St. Petersburg Housing Authority (SPHA) brought holiday joy to Jordan Park residents during its 4th Annual Very Merry Holiday Party on Dec. 2. The family-centered celebration created a lively space for connection, entertainment, and seasonal cheer.

SPHA leaders said in a media release that the event aims to strengthen community bonds while supporting families during the holiday season. Children received gifts from the St. Petersburg Police Department, CSX, and the First Responders Children’s Foundation. SPHA officials thanked officers for “helping make the season extra special.”

Families enjoyed a variety of interactive activities. BayCare provided free health screenings, while Positive Impact St. Pete offered a fresh produce market. Youth performers from the Shihan School of Survival delivered a martial arts demonstration, and Pathfinder Outdoor Education led a thrilling tree-climb experience.

Gamer Events set up a video gaming station, and DJ Dondy kept the atmosphere festive with music and live entertainment. Awesome Austin’s Entertainment created balloon art, Face Painting Brittni decorated smiling faces, and K Kreations By Quita hosted a meet-and-greet with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

SPHA serves more than 4,000 low-income households across the city. Its mission is to provide safe, sanitary, accessible, and affordable housing while promoting resident self-sufficiency. Leaders say community events like the Very Merry Holiday Party help strengthen relationships and uplift families throughout St. Petersburg.
