The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of aggravated assault after camera footage showed him chasing a woman with a knife.
Deputies arrested Schmidley Saint Ville on Monday after the victim reported to deputies that he had confronted her regarding prior domestic issues on 20th Street SW in Lehigh Acres.
The surveillance footage recorded Ville grabbing the knife from the kitchen before running out the front door and chasing the woman down the street.
When the victim reported the incident, deputies arrived on the scene, where they found Ville hiding in the closet and refusing to leave the home.
He was removed by deputies and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The sheriff’s office shared the surveillance and body camera footage on their Facebook page.
