ST. PETE BEACH — The St. Pete Beach Public Library set its schedule of upcoming events

• Monday, Dec. 15, 11 a.m.-noon. — Tech Help: Get help with technology basics for phones, computers, and library-related applications. Monday Tech help is on a walk-in only basis

• Monday, Dec. 15, 3 p.m. —Tea at Three: Jane Austen Birthday Party: Enjoy tea and light refreshments during this special Jane Austen Birthday Party. Watching Mansfield Park.

• Tuesdays, 10 a.m. — Story Time. This lively story time is perfect for children ages 5 and under and their caregivers. Explore stories, songs and movement that build early literacy skills and support motor development.

• Tuesday, Dec. 16, 5-5:45 p.m.— District 2 Commissioner’s Open Office: Ask Commissioner Lisa Robinson questions and discuss concerns at the St. Pete Beach Library.

• Wednesday, Dec. 17, 3 p.m. — SPHS Pitchforks Holiday Caroling

• Thursday, Dec. 18, 2 p.m. — A Novel Idea Book Club: Join for a discussion of The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan and an end of year celebration. Email: spbbookclub@gmail.com.

• Saturday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Holiday Open House with the St. Pete Sax Quartet: Mingle, check out a wrapped book, make an ornament craft, and enjoy light refreshments and holiday beverages while enjoying the sounds of the St. Pete Sax Quartet.

• Saturday, Dec. 20, 4 p.m. — Bonnie Traiman Celebration: Join us for a celebration in honor of Bonnie Traiman. A joyful gathering to honor the laughter, kindness, and comfort she shared with the community. There will be music, an opportunity to share memories, and a dedication ceremony.

• Saturdays, 2-4 p.m. — Tech Help Saturdays: Get help with technology basics for phones, computers, and library-related applications. (no repairs made). Saturday Tech Help accepts walk-ins, sign up for a 30-minute appointment here: https://calendly.com/stpbeachlibrary/30min or call 727-363-9238. Please note, because this program will be occurring after regular library hours, all other library services will be suspended during this time.

Gulf Beaches library news

MADEIRA BEACH — The Gulf Beaches Public Library has released a schedule of upcoming events.

• Writers Group: Mondays, 10 a.m.-noon

• Adult Coloring Book Group: Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-noon. Coloring books, markers, and colored pencils will be provided.

• Library App Help: Wednesdays, 2-3 p.m. For help with Libby, Kanopy, and Hoopla.

• Mahjong: Thursdays, 11 a.m. Old and new members welcome.

• Investment Club: Thursdays, 2:30-4 p.m.

• Meditation: Fridays, 11 a.m.-noon. Relax and rejuvenate at the end of the week.

• Scrabble: Fridays, 1-4 p.m.

• Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. ages 2 and under; Fridays at 10:30 a.m. ages 2-4.

• Book Club: Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m. The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yogo Ogawa.

• Adult Art Class: Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 5-7:30 p.m. Watercolor class with artist Deb Barnard. All materials will be provided. Registration required.

Library sets used book sale at coffee shop

INDIAN SHORES — During the month of December, the Indian Shores Library will hold a “Used Books Cart Sale” on Saturdays and Sundays, 8-10 a.m., at the Indian Shores Coffee Co., 19221 Gulf Blvd.

Stop on by, grab a cup of Joe or your favorite coffee shop beverage, and settle in with a good book.
