Roger Chapin won the Orlando District 3 commissioner runoff election, defeating Mira Tanna with 51% of the vote to her 49%, a difference of 200 votes.

Chapin is the son of former Orange County Mayor Linda Chapin and was endorsed by retiring District 3 Commissioner Robert Stuart and Mayor Buddy Dyer.

Chapin will begin the four-year term on Orlando’s City Council in January.
