Monika’s European Kitchen is a brand-new restaurant in Largo serving Hungarian and German dishes. This European eatery, located at 1995 E Bay Drive, is proud of its heritage, serving meals from recipes passed down from generations. Formerly Jägerstüble, this all-new restaurant promises to continue to serve German classics and other cherished European flavors.
Each meal is crafted with care and served with love. Monika’s inspiring journey from expat to chef to restaurant owner is one that is quite literally baked into the very soul of Monika’s European Kitchen. Although very new, the restaurant is already serving skillfully prepared meals with a touch of home.

Hungarian and German-inspired cuisine
Largo’s brand new restaurant is reminiscent of foods inspired by Hungarian, German, and other European dishes.
“At Monika’s European Kitchen, we blend cherished family recipes and authentic European flavors — Hungarian and German favorites alike — to create comforting, heartfelt dishes that tell our story,” the restaurant says. “We’ve kept the most-loved Jägerstüble classics while adding our own Hungarian specialties, like Chicken Paprikás, Gulyás, and rich, hearty stews.”
As Florida’s cold months roll in, stop into Monika’s for a homestyle bowl of bean soup, a rich, layered bean soup imbued with smoked bacon, ham, sausage, and braised beef. Enriched with a “silky garlic roux” to infuse a rich flavor into every spoonful, and served rustic bread for dipping.
Come for the food, stay for a drink, and remember the company
Monika’s European Kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with your family or to spend an evening chatting with your friends. Relish some Hungarian favorites, such as Chicken Paprikas, or German favorites, such as Schnitzel, and refresh yourself with a lovely selection of beer and wine.
“For us, food is more than a meal; it’s a way to connect, to share, and to celebrate life together,” Monika’s says. “Whether you’re here for a taste of home or a new culinary discovery, we welcome you warmly to our family table.”
Monika’s European Kitchen understands full well that food isn’t simply something to make you feel full. It’s as much art as it is history. Personally, I think it makes an amazing addition to Largo’s food scene. Make sure to give them a follow on Instagram to see how their menu evolves over the coming months.
