A Postal Service employee has been charged with stealing mail from more than a dozen people in West Palm Beach, including new credit cards, investigators said.

The investigation began two years ago when a janitor discovered 17 Capital One envelopes in the trash at the West Palm Beach Processing and Distribution Center.

These envelopes were intended for delivery to Port St. Lucie. Additionally, mail for residents in Martin and Palm Beach counties appeared to be missing. Sajay Cole was arrested on Sunday after investigators received anonymous tips and reviewed surveillance video.

Agents also arrested Alicia Murdock, who they accuse of assisting Cole in the mail theft.
