TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – There are dozens of adoptable pups who can’t wait to snuggle up with you and make the holidays ahead even more special!
Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find fur-ever homes … faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET JANIE
Janie is ready to find a family that adores both her silliness and her spots!(WCTV)

This loveable live wire is every bit a puppy!
Janie and her sister are both here.
She’s anxious to find a family that adores both her silliness and her spots.
This English Pointer mix is a snuggler and a good face rub or back scratch gets her little tail wagging for sure!
Janie loves to keep it moving, taking long walks and exploring the world around her!
Janie is speedy and smart.
She loves toys and treats and can’t wait to find a family that will help her grow into her best and sweetest self!

MEET MYSTERIO
Mysterio is a secret – or not so secret – lap dog who wants very much to find a loving, loyal companion.(WCTV)
Meet Mysterio!
This handsome boy is starting to come out of his shell and show off!
The boxer mix came in as a nervous stray, but as you can see, he’s starting to relax and share lots of kisses!
He loves long walks, he’ll sit patiently for treats and Mysterio will look you directly in the eyes.
Mysterio is not into mystery. He’s into trust.
He is a secret – or not so secret – lap dog who wants very much to find – and to be – a loving, loyal companion.

MEET LUKE
Luke loves showing off his spots!(WCTV)
Meet Luke!
Luke is happy and handsome and has two speeds.
One speed – standing still – is perfect for a never ending back scratch.
Luke likes showing off his spotted coat and his spotted ears and he can not only sit for treats, but stand up for them too!
Luke’s other speed – is full speed ahead!
He is very interested in brisk walks, checking out the rustling leaves and spotting scrambling squirrels.
He loves chew toys and running and playing with other dogs!
Luke is a dog’s dog, ready to find a family that embraces both of his speeds!

MEET GWEN
Gwen is a calm, curvy couch potato who makes the perfect strolling companion!(WCTV)
Meet Gwen!
This Rottweiler mix is calm and gentle and the perfect strolling companion.
She paused just long enough to watch a white tail deer disappear into the meadow.
The curvy couch potato is friendly and easy going.
She enjoys a good back scratch and soaking up all the praise and positivity you can offer.
If Gwen looks like your perfect – chill – plus one, please visit her at the shelter this weekend!
MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
People can walk through the kennels Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. People can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
