TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man was shot in Tallahassee on Texas Street Sunday afternoon, according to Tallahassee police.
The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Texas Street just after 4 p.m., TPD wrote in a press release. Officers responded to the area due to reports of gunfire and a possible victim at the scene, police said.
A short time later, police said a man drove himself to a local hospital with a gunshot wound but is expected to survive.
While at the scene, police located evidence revealing that a shooting had occurred, including “a vehicle that had been struck multiple times,” per TPD.
However, no additional victims were located at the scene.
An investigation revealed that an altercation had occurred before the shooting took place, “but that the victim was not involved,” per the press release.
At this time, there are no suspects and no arrests have been made, police said.
