A warm start to the weekend, BIG changes by the end of tomorrow for Tallahassee, the Big Bend and South Georgia

  • December 13, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Warm and bright to start the weekend, clouds and cooler to wrap it up.

This morning:

A dense fog advisory is in effect through 10 a.m. due to low visibility at times across North Florida and South Georgia. It is not a sporadic dense fog, but some communities could see visibility drop below 1 mile through the late morning.

A warm afternoon:

After the fog breaks, we will be in for a really nice day. Mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the low 70s. Dare I say shorts weather?

Any outdoor plans you have during the afternoon will be perfect.

By Saturday evening, temperatures will cool into the 50s after sunset. Lows will fall into the low 50s and upper 40s. So not as chilly as recent nights.

Sunday cold front:

Clouds will quickly move in on Sunday morning. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will limit the warmup on Sunday morning. As you head out the door, temperatures will be in the 50s.

An isolated shower is possible as a cold front passes through the southeast late Sunday morning. The front’s bigger impacts will be winds picking up behind it.

For the second half of your Sunday, skies will clear and north winds will gust between 15 and 25 mph.

Temperatures are expected to vary across the area tomorrow. For the Big Bend and South Georgia, low to mid-60s in the early afternoon before gradually falling throughout the afternoon. For the southeast Big Bend, a little warmer in the upper 60s and low 70s. Here is a breakdown of highs on Sunday below:

The noticeable change will arrive overnight on Sunday and Monday morning as you head out the door. Temperatures will be in the 30s and upper 20s, but with the wind. Feels like temperatures will be in the teens and low 20s. This is the coldest we have seen in some time.

Wind chills as low as 17 on Monday morning.Wind chills as low as 17 on Monday morning.(WCTV)

Because of the wind, frost may be patchy. If the wind can calm, frost will end up more widespread. I still recommend bringing in any plants you still have outside, as a light freeze is expected.

Monday afternoon will bear no mercy. The thermometer will struggle to reach 50 degrees in the afternoon. I am expecting plenty of sunshine despite the chill in the air.

Tuesday morning will also be very cold with numbers tumbling down to the upper 20s. Temperatures rebound quickly Tuesday afternoon reaching the low 60s.

Warmer late-week:

Temperatures will slowly warm through the rest of the week. Highs in the upper 60s and low 70s with partly cloudy skies. Morning lows in the 40s and 50s.

The rain chances also look low next week.
