For the first time in South Florida, young couples hoping to explore their connection to Judaism have the chance of a lifetime.
Honeymoon Israel (HMI), a North American organization, is offering nine-day trips so couples can connect with their partner and with the Jewish homeland. The program, for people ages 25 to 45, is specifically designed for those early in marriage or in a committed relationship.
The trip is scheduled for June 14-23, 2026, bringing together 20 couples from Broward and Palm Beach counties. The total cost is $2,900 per couple and includes flights, accommodations, most meals, tours, and small group activities. This total is a fraction of the trip’s true price, thanks to the support of the Jewish federations of Broward, Palm Beach and South Palm Beach counties.
Couples will engage in peer-led conversations; meet with Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Druze communities; and of course, explore Israel. There will be a chance to see the Old City of Jerusalem, ascend Masada by cable car, shop in Tel Aviv, and come together for a meaningful Shabbat dinner with HMI groups from other cities.
The trip is open to varying backgrounds, including interfaith or intercultural relationships, multiracial families and LGBTQ+ couples.

HMI has supported almost 3,300 partners in their quest to find their connection to Judaism, running more than 160 trips from 23 different cities.
If interested, an application is required, with a deadline of Dec. 3. Those selected for consideration will be notified shortly after the close date and move on to an interview portion. Find the application at honeymoonisrael.org/apply.
A trip info session will take place virtually at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22. Interested participants can sign up here.
