TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Classic cars, community spirit, and a good cause are all rolling into town this weekend.
The Show and Shine Open Car Show is set for Saturday, with all proceeds benefiting Honor Flight Tallahassee, an organization dedicated to taking veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor.
Honor Flight Tallahassee has taken 10 flights over the years, flying hundreds of local veterans, many from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, to visit memorials in the nation’s capital. The flights are provided completely free of charge to the veterans.
The car show helps support Honor Flight’s mission to send veterans to see their memorials every year. All the proceeds go back to Honor Flight Tallahassee.
No pre-registration is required for the event.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
For those interested in attending, the Show and Shine Open Car Show is happening this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Tallahassee Moose Lodge 1075, located at 1478 Capital Cir. NW in Tallahassee.
