Orlando City defender Rodrigo Schlegel has been transferred to Liga MX’s Atlas FC. The Lions announced the move on Tuesday as the team continues to reload its roster this winter ahead of the 2026 season. “Rodrigo has been an incredible part of our history,” Orlando City general manager and sporting director Ricardo Moreira said. “His commitment, passion and leadership have left a lasting mark on this club. From his unforgettable role in our first playoff win to helping us lift our first trophy in our MLS era, Rodrigo has given everything to Orlando City. We are deeply grateful for all he has done, both on and off the field, and wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of his career.” Schlegel, 28, leaves Orlando following 180 appearances across all competitions. The Argentine has been a key anchor in Orlando’s backline where he eventually established a starting role in the last two seasons.
