Newly completed, the nearly 2-acre estate is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway and is loaded with high-end features, from the dual swimming pools to the meditation loggia.

The seller was a trust that acquired the underlying property for $28 million in 2021, according to property records.

The buyer is billionaire Dr. Herbert “Herbie” Wertheim, an optometrist, inventor and entrepreneur, according to Corcoran. Wertheim, 86, has a net worth of $4 billion, according to Forbes. He couldn’t be reached for comment.

The property comprises a main house, a guest house, a cabana and a gatehouse. The main house has a grand entry hall; a formal dining room with an ocean-facing bar; an open-concept kitchen; and a catering kitchen.

The primary suite is in its own wing with a private sitting room, ocean-view office, and dual dressing rooms. On the lower level, the home “transforms into a haven of leisure and wellness” with a gym, a steam shower, a wine room, a game room and an immersive theater, according to the listing.

The separate guest house has two bedrooms and its own cabana and private pool. And the climate-controlled garage has space for 13 vehicles.

Outside, amenities include a covered courtyard, a loggia designed for meditation and a dock, with two boat lifts.

The deal comes on the heels of a different trophy new build hitting the market in the tony beach town. A mansion rising next door to Ellison’s compound listed last week for $75 million.
