A lucky Orlando woman has claimed a $1 million prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket she purchased at Publix.

On Monday, December 8, the Florida Lottery announced that Orlando resident Jeaquelinne Lizarazo stopped by one of its district offices to claim a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH scratch-off game.

Lizarazo chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000, according to the Florida Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased by Lizarazo from the Publix located at 5240 W State Road 46 in Sanford. The convenience store will receive a bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The 500X THE CASH scratch-off series is a $50 game that features a top prize of $25 million, which is the largest prize ever offered on a Florida scratch-off game. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.23, according to lottery officials.
