The alleged incident happened around 10 p.m. on Dec. 12 in the 4400 block of Northwest 30th Avenue.

According to an arrest report, the victim said he arrived at his home and was in his vehicle about to exit when a man approached the driver’s side door, got in the vehicle and threatened the victim with a “knife-looking object.”

The suspect ordered the victim to get out of the vehicle and after he did, the suspect fled in the vehicle, the report said.

The victim contacted authorities and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies found the vehicle and after a short pursuit the suspect, Estevez, was taken into custody, the report said.

Estevez was booked into jail and expected to appear before a bond court judge on Wednesday.
