TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – One of Tallahassee’s major holiday events is expected to bring traffic delays.
Drivers who use Thomasville Road are advised to use an alternative route Thursday night due to the city’s annual Elf Night, per a city of Tallahassee press release.
The event is set for 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dorothy B. Oven Park, located at 3205 Thomasville Road. The city wrote that cars will not be allowed to drive through the park for safety reasons during the event.

According to the city, traffic is expected to be heavier than usual. There will be law enforcement present along with pedestrians.
Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves will be at Elf Night. Those who want to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus have to check in on the front lawn, where they’ll be assigned a ticket number on a first-come, first-served basis.
