BRANDON, FL — Dick’s Sporting Goods is hosting the grand opening celebration of its new House of Sport store in Brandon on Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.

The festivities include a ribbon cutting, appearances by former Tampa Bay Buccaneers players Bucky Irving and Rob Gronkowski, and various giveaways, including mystery gift cards for the first 100 adults in line each morning, a free 30-ounce Stanley Quencher to the first 300 guests in the store, and DSG soccer balls to the first 100 kids.

The new immersive House of Sport location at 686 Brandon Town Center Drive is more than 100,000 square feet. In addition to an assortment of products, there are a number of in-store experiences including a climbing wall, multiple golf bays with TrackMan simulators, and a multi-sport cage that can be used for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer and give athletes an opportunity to try items while measuring and tracking their performance.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Oct. 31 at 8:45 a.m.

Irving, a former running back, will appear at the store on Nov. 1, noon to 1:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Gronkowski, a former tight end, will appear Sunday, noon to 1:30 p.m.

Wristbands are limited for their appearances and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis when the store opens for each day’s visit. Wristbands are required to attend the appearance and meet the athletes.

The players will only sign cards provided by Dick’s. No outside items will be allowed.
