Nader was raised in the Dominican Republic, came to the United States in 1985 to establish an art center focused on Latin American art and has been active in the art world for four decades. His 40-year legacy also includes one of the world’s largest collections of sculptures and paintings by Fernando Botero.
The gallerist discussed how the enduring popularity of Pablo Picasso and Botero, born in Spain and Colombia respectively, underscore the sustained demand for works by master artists. With that, Nader noted Picasso’s transcendent influence on generations of Latin American artists, particularly Botero.
Currently, Nader is showcasing works from both artists at The Gary Nader Art Centre in Miami through July 31st, 2026. Nader also expressed his conviction that fine art will continue to serve as a meaningful and lucrative long-term alternative investment.
