Born in 1932 in Knoxville, TN, in the midst of the Great Depression, Carolyn Nipper Becker was just five days short of her 93rd birthday when she left this earth to claim her reward in heaven. Both of her parents and her only sibling preceded her in death. She also endured the loss of her adult son Michael Becker and adult daughter Anne Spencer, as well as her toddler grandson, Adam Spencer. She led a modest life and enjoyed her church families, first at Midville Baptist Church of Jacksonville, and then at First Baptist Church of Richlands. Since the pandemic of 2020, Carolyn lived in an assisted living facility where many loving and deeply committed people helped care for her.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 19th, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at 3:00 PM at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.Â
Greg and Jennifer Becker, Lynne and Clyde Colley, together with their families, thank you for joining them in acknowledging the life lived by a woman who is now safe and secure from all alarms.
“What have I to dread, what have / to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms?
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.”
