West Tampa restaurant Lucky Tigre was burglarized early Friday morning.

The front door was shattered, and money, equipment and inventory was stolen, said owner Julie Sainte Michelle Feliciano by phone Friday.

Feliciano and her team are prepping, sanitizing and cleaning the space, with plans to open at 4 p.m., according to Lucky Tigre’s Instagram.

“This sucks … it sucks even more for our family and team members that rely on us being open to provide, especially before the holidays,” she said.

The Filipino American restaurant has been in the brick-and-mortar location at 1901 N. Howard Ave. for just three months, having moved from their food trailer around the corner in September.

The restaurant is run by Feliciano and her husband, Seanissey Loughlin. It’s known for Feliciano’s inventive takes on Filipino cooking. Lucky Tigre landed on on food critic’s list of the year’s Top 50 Restaurants.
