The first ranked team to get on the field this week in college football is playing on Friday, Oct. 17 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. when the Louisville Cardinals visit the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes.

Both squads are coming off a bye week, but Louisville is also coming off its first loss of the season. The Cardinals lost in double overtime to Virginia, 30-27, moving them to 4-1 on the season and 1-1 in the ACC.
Quarterback Miller Moss had 329 yards and two touchdowns in the loss, along with an interception, one of the team’s two turnovers in the contest. Wide receiver Chris Bell had 12 catches for 170 yards and both of Moss’ touchdown passes.
Miami is to weeks removed from a 28-22 win over Florida State in which Carson Beck tossed for 241 yards and four scores, with two of those going to Malachi Toney and the other two going to CJ Daniels. Both receivers averaged more than 15 yards per catch in the victory as the accounted for 12 of Beck’s 20 completions. And on the defensive side, Bryce Fitzgerald and Jakobe Thomas both had interceptions which led to Miami touchdowns.
